What You Will Do:

• Responsible for product design and development using 3D CAD software and other simulation tools
• Execute mechanical piece part design, process and tooling verification.
• Plan and manage mechanical design schedule.
• Implement products and process improvement.
• Coordinate design phases, transfer and project scheduling.
• Translate customer’s requirement into design specifications, evaluate design feasibility and provide technical expertise to meet customer’s requirements.
• Establish design objectives for specific projects, perform detailed calculation and develop innovative and creative design for various difficult and complex project features.
• Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
• To comply with all requirements of ISO (including all standards approved by management)
• To adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
• Designing & implementing cost-effective automation equipment.
• Compile & create technical proposal for customers & participate in proposal presentation & design review
• Provide technical support & documentation to the Production & Installation department during in-house & on-site activities.
• Plan & manage project schedule.
• Provide detail guideline/reference for Junior Engineers according to design specification.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical design or application engineering.
• Strong exposure to automation systems, machine design and semiconductor/cleanroom industry requirements.
• Effective communicator across all levels of the organization.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles, ergonomics, safety standards and manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with product development lifecycle, risk management and FMEA/DOE methodologies.
• Experience working with cross-functional engineering and project teams.
• Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCad.
• Strong skills in mechanical calculations, material selection and tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of SEMI and cleanroom equipment standards is preferred.
• Ability to review and approve complex engineering documentation and designs.
