Job description:

  • Food preparation: Commis chefs prepare ingredients, season meats, and measure portion sizes. They may also assist with food preparation skills like cutting, cleaning, and boiling.
  • Kitchen operations: Commis chefs help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly by taking inventory, overseeing deliveries, and organizing and cleaning.
  • Communication: Commis chefs communicate with the chef and supervisor.
  • Hygiene: Commis chefs maintain high standards of hygiene and understand basic food hygiene practices.
  • Safety: Commis chefs prioritize safety in the kitchen
