Our client is a diversified listed group with interests across multiple business sectors. We are seeking an experienced Group Head – Strategy & Corporate Communications to work closely with the Group COO in shaping and executing the Group's strategic agenda, transformation initiatives and corporate positioning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the Group's corporate strategy and long-term growth agenda.
  • Work closely with the Group COO and senior leadership on strategic planning, business performance and key corporate initiatives.
  • Drive Group-wide business transformation and strategic projects, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, KPIs and execution.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, partnerships and potential growth areas.
  • Lead and support M&A, corporate development, joint ventures and strategic investment initiatives from evaluation through execution.
  • Conduct financial modelling, valuation, commercial analysis and investment assessments for strategic opportunities.
  • Analyse business performance, market trends, competitors and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Develop business cases, strategic recommendations and presentations for senior management and Board-level discussions.
  • Review and assess the performance and strategic direction of various business units and subsidiaries.
  • Support capital allocation and value creation initiatives across the Group.
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, external advisers and business leaders on corporate development and transformation projects.
  • Oversee the Group's corporate communications and corporate positioning, ensuring consistent messaging across key stakeholders.
  • Prepare Board papers, management presentations, strategic reports and executive briefing materials.
  • Manage relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, shareholders, investors and external advisers.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related disciplines.
  • 10–12 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, corporate finance, M&A, investment banking, consulting, transformation or corporate development.
  • Strong background in M&A, financial analysis, valuation and strategic planning.
  • Experience working with a diversified group, conglomerate, listed company or large corporate environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modelling and investment evaluation.
  • Proven experience managing strategic or transformation projects from strategy through execution.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial and market analysis into actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in corporate communications, investor relations or public-listed companies will be an advantage.
  • Comfortable working with C-suite executives, senior management and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
