Key Responsibilities
1. Retail Outlet Maintenance Support
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for retail outlets, including M&E systems, refrigeration, air-conditioning, lighting, plumbing, and store fixtures.
- Ensure timely response, follow-up, and resolution of maintenance requests, breakdowns, and emergency issues.
- Act as Person-in-Charge (PIC) for assigned outlets or regions, providing maintenance support and guidance to store teams.
- Conduct regular outlet inspections to identify defects, safety risks, and improvement opportunities.
2. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Liaise with approved vendors and contractors for repair, servicing, and emergency maintenance works.
- Monitor vendor performance, workmanship quality, SLA compliance, and adherence to safety requirements.
- Support sourcing, evaluation, and comparison of quotations, and provide job recommendations for approval.
3. Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
- Assist in tracking and monitoring outlet maintenance expenses to ensure works remain within approved budgets.
- Support cost optimization initiatives through effective preventive maintenance planning and vendor management.
- Verify job completion, supporting documentation, and invoices prior to submission for approval.
4. Preventive Maintenance & Asset Tracking
- Support the implementation and compliance of preventive maintenance schedules across all outlets.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset registers, and service history for store equipment.
- Assist in asset tagging, condition assessments, and planning for repair, refurbishment, or replacement.
5. Compliance, Safety & Store Standards
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company standards, statutory requirements, and mall or landlord regulations.
- Enforce safe work practices, permit requirements, and proper supervision of contractors at outlets.
- Support internal audits, safety inspections, and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and update maintenance-related reports, including breakdown trends, vendor performance, and preventive maintenance compliance.
- Analyze recurring outlet issues and recommend corrective and preventive solutions.
- Support the standardization and continuous improvement of maintenance processes and best practices across outlets.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Store Operations, Projects, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to support overall outlet performance.
- Support new outlet openings, store renovations, and the handover process from Project teams to Maintenance.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
- 3–6 years’ experience in retail outlet maintenance / facilities support; multi-outlet experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and basic M&E systems.
- Experience in vendor coordination, cost control, and maintenance scheduling.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills to work with store teams and landlords.
- Proficient in MS Office, CMMS experience is an advantage.
- Hands-on, service-oriented, able to handle urgent breakdowns and work under pressure.
- Willing to travel frequently to retail outlets.
