about the job

we are currently sourcing for Material & Production Planning talent across all levels-from Junior to Senior Managers-based in key manufacturing hubs (KL/Selangor, Johor, and Penang). In this role, you will be pivotal in driving end-to-end material flow, master production scheduling, and supply network resilience.

• Manage end-to-end Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure seamless shop-floor execution and high line-clearance.

• Oversee material availability, shortage tracking, and inventory control strategies to balance lead times against customer delivery targets.

• Collaborate closely with strategic sourcing, purchasing, warehouse, and production operations to resolve supply bottlenecks in high-mix manufacturing setups.

• Establish key planning metrics (OOT, OTIF, inventory turns) and lead continuous improvement initiatives across material control workflows.

• For Senior/Managerial roles: Lead regional planning teams, drive capacity expansion programs, and optimize multi-site inventory strategies.

skills and experience Required

• Industry Focus: Must possess a strong background in discrete manufacturing environments such as Semiconductor, EMS/PCBA, Medical Devices, Electronics, Heavy Machinery, or Industrial Automation (strictly non-FMCG / non-retail).

• Minimum 2 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in material planning, production control, supply scheduling, or inventory management (level will determine role seniority).

• Proven expertise with enterprise ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel modeling for demand/supply balancing.

• Strong understanding of BOM structures, engineering change orders (ECO), lead-time optimization, and vendor performance monitoring.

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related technical discipline.
