Job Summary
We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to support the day-to-day warehouse operations within the Material Management Department. The role is responsible for receiving, storing, organising and issuing materials while ensuring accurate inventory records and a safe, orderly warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials against delivery orders and purchase documents.
- Arrange and store materials systematically according to designated locations.
- Pick, pack and issue materials to the relevant departments based on authorised requests.
- Perform stock counting and assist with regular inventory checks and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update the relevant warehouse/system records.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, discrepancies, damaged or expired items to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO, where applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety standards within the warehouse.
- Assist with loading, unloading and movement of materials when required.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Support documentation and filing related to warehouse transactions.
- Comply with IJN's policies, procedures, occupational safety and quality standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department.
Key Requirements
- Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management or a related field.
- Previous experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics or material management will be an added advantage.
- Basic computer skills, preferably with experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Able to perform physical work involving lifting, moving and arranging materials.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and documentation.
- Responsible, organised and able to work effectively in a team.
- Willing to work according to the department's operational requirements.
Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
