Job Summary
You will operate fire control room systems, conduct fire safety patrols, respond to emergencies, support firefighting and evacuation, and maintain fire safety records at Singapore Changi Cargo Complex.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor fire control room systems in assigned hangars and buildings to ensure fire detection and suppression systems function per SOPs
Conduct regular fire safety patrols inspecting escape routes, firefighting equipment, and hazardous material storage at Airline House and Hangar Complex
Respond promptly to fire alarm activations and emergencies to support on-site incident commanders in firefighting and evacuation efforts
Serve as fire-watcher during hot work operations by verifying proper permits and safety checks are maintained
Report, record, and communicate fire safety incidents, defects, and operational irregularities to relevant authorities and stakeholders
Attend and facilitate fire evacuation drills, fire warden courses, and fire safety training sessions as required
Maintain accurate patrol records and incident logbooks, and assist with equipment readiness and maintenance follow-ups
Uphold discipline, proper attire, and professional conduct according to SIA/SIAEC protocols
Operate inspection tools such as gas detectors, tablet computers for reporting, and communication devices effectively
Work reliably on rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays while maintaining attentiveness and teamwork
Required competencies and certifications
Experience as an operational firefighter with SCDF, AES, or Industrial Fire Brigade
Physical fitness to respond effectively to fire incidents and emergencies
Knowledge of Singapore Fire Safety Act, SCDF regulations, and relevant Codes of Practice
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Familiarity with fire alarm and suppression systems in large buildings or aviation environments
Additional certifications in fire safety, CERT, or related fields
