Role Summary

As a key member of the Auriga Leadership Team, the Head of Quality Assurance provides strategic leadership and independent oversight of quality, compliance and enterprise risk management. The role ensures that business growth and transformation initiatives are delivered within a robust, consistent and sustainable quality framework across the region.

Reports to: CEO, Auriga | Location: Malaysia / Thailand / Hong Kong

Key Responsibilities

• Quality governance and enterprise assurance: Define and execute the Auriga quality strategy, maintain effective quality management, and advise the CEO and Leadership Team on quality, compliance and enterprise risks.
• Regulatory compliance and business continuity: Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, quality standards and customer requirements; maintain audit readiness; and lead the proactive resolution of regulatory and compliance matters.
• Operational resilience and risk management: Govern critical quality systems, establish meaningful quality KPIs, and use data-driven insights and risk assessments to reduce operational and quality risk.
• Customer confidence and business enablement: Integrate quality requirements into commercial, operational and transformation initiatives; support customer audits and due diligence; and strengthen confidence through consistent performance and effective issue management.
• QA capability and leadership: Lead and develop country QA teams, strengthen quality and business-partnering capabilities, build succession pipelines, and foster a high-performance culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Quality Management or a related discipline. Registered Pharmacist qualifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 20 years of Quality Assurance experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare distribution, medical device or another regulated healthcare industry.
• Proven experience leading multi-country quality operations in Asia and aligning diverse market practices under a common governance framework.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, quality systems and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated success in managing inspections and audits, leading significant remediation, and delivering quality transformation initiatives.
• Ability to communicate quality and compliance matters in business terms, influence senior stakeholders, and exercise sound judgement in complex or high-risk situations.
• Professional fluency in English.
