Role Description The Pumpman role at Atlas Oil Inc. is a full-time, on-site position located in Bahagian Sibu. The Pumpman is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining pumps, pipelines, and associated fluid-handling systems on offshore drilling units, ensuring safe and efficient transfer of drilling fluids, fuel, and water. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting and troubleshooting pumping equipment, performing routine preventive maintenance, recording operating parameters, and reporting any abnormalities to the supervisor or engineering team. The Pumpman collaborates closely with the deck, drilling, and maintenance crews to support rig operations, adheres to safety and environmental procedures, and assists with equipment cleaning, flushing, and system changeovers. The role requires working in a demanding offshore environment, following strict operational standards, and participating in safety meetings and emergency drills.
Qualifications

• Strong practical skills in pump operation, fluid transfer systems, and basic mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, maintenance checklists, and safety procedures.
• Experience working in offshore, industrial, or maritime environments is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to offshore drilling operations.
• Physical ability to work in a heavy industrial setting, including lifting, climbing, and extended periods on feet.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, and to adapt to changing operational demands.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on the rig.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or marine systems is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Pumpman or in similar pump or mechanical support roles is preferred.
