Role Purpose

The IT Support Engineer provides high-quality, professional technical support—both on-site and remotely—to end-users across the organization. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving Level 1 technical incidents and service requests, assisting with Major Incidents, and serving as on-site technical support ("Hands & Eyes") for global IT teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong customer-service mindset, disciplined problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Service Delivery & Desktop Support

• Provide fast, effective walk-up, desk-side, and remote technical support to internal employees.
• Manage, diagnose, and resolve Tier 1 incidents and service requests within agreed SLA timeframes using an ITSM platform (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues and contribute to overall Problem Management efforts.
• Execute hardware and software lifecycle tasks, including device builds, OS re-imaging, data backups, hardware refreshes, and mobile device deployments.
• Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle records for all IT assets, repairs, and assignments.
• Act as on-site "Hands & Eyes" support for global infrastructure and network teams (e.g., cable patching, hardware replacements).

2. Business Engagement & User Experience

• Build strong, trusted relationships with internal stakeholders through face-to-face interactions and digital communication channels.
• Maintain an approachable, welcoming, and customer-focused demeanor to deliver an exceptional end-user experience.
• Actively listen to user feedback to identify opportunities for service simplification and operational improvement.

3. Technical & System Maintenance

• Support and troubleshoot corporate client operating systems (Windows, macOS), mobile platforms (iOS, Android), and productivity suites (Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Box).
• Maintain audio-visual (AV), video conferencing (Cisco VC, MS Teams, Zoom), and collaboration tools across local meeting spaces.
• Ensure all IT operations and end-user devices adhere strictly to organizational data security, infrastructure guidelines, and compliance standards.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a desktop support or IT helpdesk role, preferably within an enterprise environment. (Motivated fresh graduates with strong foundational technical skills and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply).

Technical Skills

• Operating Systems: Proficient in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
• Software & Cloud Applications: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, OneDrive for Business, and Box.
• Hardware & Audio-Visual: Experience managing PC workstations, mobile devices, local AV setups, and video conferencing hardware.
• Networking & ITSM: Basic understanding of core network principles and hands-on experience using ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
