IT Consultant (SAP S/4 Hana Finance) (11-months contract)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support SAP S/4 HANA Finance modules and handle incidents, service requests, and change requests independently.
  • Provide basic support for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including user enquiries, access issues, data validation, and coordination with vendors where required.
  • Conduct user requirement analysis for enhancements, analyse business information needs, translate requirements into functional specifications, and secure user signoffs.
  • Perform systems and data analysis, including reviewing existing system or program logic and recommending changes to improve processes where necessary.
  • Analyse and propose data integration specifications for data exchanges with other IT systems inside and outside the organization.
  • Evaluate potential solutions and make recommendations to business users, taking into consideration S/4HANA best practices and process standardisation.
  • Support interfaces between non-ERP systems and SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Liaise closely with business users, vendors, and team members to build good rapport and ensure timely resolution of support matters.
  • Support application maintenance, user testing, patches, upgrades, and project implementation activities in accordance with established methodologies and policies.
  • Plan, coordinate, conduct, and document end-to-end unit testing and System Integration Testing, and support users during User Acceptance Testing.
  • Keep abreast of relevant digital tools, including Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled productivity solutions, and explore practical use cases to improve support efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an SAP Finance functional role, including systems design, configuration, functional support, and user support experience.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA Finance, including key finance processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Bank Management, Project System, and integration with Materials Management.
  • Hands-on experience supporting SAP S/4 HANA Finance incidents, service requests, change requests, testing, and enhancements.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including dashboard/report support, data validation, access troubleshooting, and coordination with business users or vendors.
  • Experience in working with interfaces between SAP and third-party systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), data analysis tools, Vendor Invoice Management, or e-invoicing solutions will be an added advantage.
  • Basic awareness of AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, with the ability to identify practical use cases for improving documentation, analysis, and user support.
  • Knowledge of OData Services, SAP Business Technology Platform services, CDS views, and SAP Fiori applications would be an added advantage.
  • Able to work independently and as an excellent team player.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand functional requirements and propose practical solutions.
