Position Title: Lifeguard

Reports To: Club Manager/ Sports Executive

Position Summary:

Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned from time to time.

• Monitors safety and well-being of all members and guests in and around the swimming pool area.
• Ensures cleanliness, safety and upkeep of swimming pool.
• Implements all rules and guidelines.
• Cautions members/guests on unruly behavior.
• Assists and rescues members/guests in danger of drowning or when injured.
• Conducts First Aid and CPR.
• Certified Bronze Medallion

These includes but not limited to:

• Strong swimming skills.
• Observational skills.
• An excellent level of concentration.
• Strong communication skills, especially in an emergency.
• The ability to keep calm and act quickly in an emergency.
