Our client is an established international engineering company providing advanced industrial machinery and automation solutions across manufacturing and high-tech industries.

With a strong presence across Asia and continued business expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer to support customers across installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical service activities.

Location & Coverage

• Based in Malaysia

• Coverage: Malaysia with regional travel across Asia

Reporting Line

• Reporting to: Service Manager / Technical Manager

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Service Engineer to support technical service operations across installation, repair, maintenance, and system optimisation activities.

In this role, you will be involved in both on-site and workshop-based technical work while ensuring equipment reliability, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Performing advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of industrial machinery and systems

• Supporting installation, commissioning, and machine setup activities at customer sites

• Diagnosing issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems

• Carrying out preventive maintenance and advising customers on equipment improvements

• Supporting machine upgrades, retrofits, and technical optimisation activities

• Preparing service reports, maintenance documentation, and technical records

• Providing technical guidance and operator training to customers where required

• Coordinating with internal technical teams and overseas support functions on escalated issues

• Identifying recurring technical issues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the service team

Candidate Profile

Our ideal candidate will be one who has most of the below criteria:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines

• Around 5–8 years or more of experience in service engineering, maintenance, or technical support roles within industrial or manufacturing environments

• Strong troubleshooting experience involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems

• Exposure to industrial machinery, CNC systems, automation equipment, or machine tools is advantageous

• Experience working within multinational or regional service environments is preferred

• Strong communication and customer management skills

• Ability to work independently under pressure and manage on-site technical issues effectively

• Good command of English, both spoken and written

• Comfortable travelling regionally as part of the role
