Position Overview

This role supports the Quality Control (QC) laboratory in maintaining equipment reliability, documentation integrity, and compliance with GMP requirements. The position assists with calibration, maintenance, and qualification of laboratory instruments, coordinates vendor servicing activities, and supports the broader equipment lifecycle from documentation to qualification. It also plays a key part in ensuring laboratory records, SOPs, and change controls are accurate, current, and compliant, while contributing to investigations, deviations, and CAPA activities as needed. The role further supports continuous improvement efforts, including audit readiness and the adoption of laboratory best practices, to help drive operational excellence within the QC department.

Key Responsibilities

• Support routine calibration, maintenance, and qualification activities for laboratory instruments.
  
• Assist in coordinating equipment servicing and vendor maintenance activities.
  
• Support equipment lifecycle management activities, including documentation updates and qualification records.
• Ensure laboratory documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  
• Assist in the preparation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, and laboratory records.
  
• Initiate, raise, and coordinate Change Controls for laboratory equipment, documentation, and process improvements, ensuring timely implementation and closure in accordance with GMP requirements.
  
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPA, and other quality system activities when required.
  
• Comply with GMP, Data Integrity, EHS, and company quality requirements.
• Participate in laboratory audits and inspection readiness activities.
  
• Support process improvement initiatives within the QC department.
  
• Assist in the implementation of laboratory best practices and operational excellence initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Science, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in a QC laboratory or GMP-regulated environment preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and qualification processes.
• Working knowledge of GMP, Data Integrity, and quality system requirements (e.g., change control, deviations, CAPA).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Good organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software/systems (e.g., LIMS, MS Office) is a plus.
