Position: Assistant Finance Manager – Global Manufacturing Company

The Opportunity

·        Join an established manufacturing group as an Assistant Finance Manager, overseeing full-spectrum finance and accounting operations and leading a team of 2 finance professionals.

·        Gain broad exposure to Manufacturing Finance, Cost Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting and Business Partnering, while driving stronger financial controls, ERP enhancements and finance process improvements.

The Job

·        Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.

·        Prepare and review management accounts, financial reports and variance analysis, ensuring compliance with IFRS/FRS and supporting group reporting and consolidation.

·        Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets and Treasury, ensuring accurate accounting treatments and effective internal controls.

·        Review product costing, inventory valuation and manufacturing cost allocations; analyse material, labour and overhead variances, and oversee stock counts and inventory reconciliations.

·        Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, monitoring actual performance against plans and identifying financial risks and opportunities.

·        Partner with operations, supply chain and department heads on cost management, financial analysis and business decision support to improve operational and financial performance.

·        Oversee cashflow planning, working capital management, banking activities and liquidity, monitoring receivables and payables.

·        Coordinate internal and external audits, corporate tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax and statutory filings, liaising with auditors, tax agents and relevant authorities.

·        Lead, coach and develop two finance staff, reviewing deliverables, setting priorities and maintaining accuracy, accountability andtimely reporting.

·        Drive ERP enhancements, finance automation and process improvements, and support system implementations, acquisitions, integrations and other business projects.

The Talent

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance -candidates with CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications are preferred.

·        Minimum 6~8years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least 2–3years in a supervisory or managerial role within a commercial organisation;2–3 years of Big 4 external audit experience preferred.

·        Strong knowledge of IFRS/FRS, Financial Reporting, Internal Controls and Statutory Compliance, with hands-on experience in Costing, Inventory Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting; manufacturing experience preferred.

·        Exposure to ERP systems and group consolidation software is an advantage.
