Job Summary

You will develop and deliver production-grade web and backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript, collaborating closely with clients to build scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions across cloud and frontend technologies.

Responsibilities

Develop production-grade applications using Node.js and TypeScript following modern web development and component-based architecture

Design and implement frontend features using frameworks such as React and Next.js to create mobile-responsive and Progressive Web Apps (PWA)

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to support application functionality and integrations

Manage relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval

Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to secure application resources and enforce user permissions

Ensure audit logging and compliance with data protection regulations such as PDPA

Integrate government digital services including Singpass, MyInfo, and Corppass for user authentication and data verification

Develop and maintain email and SMS notification services using platforms like AWS SES, SNS, and Twilio

Build scheduling and availability management features, including calendar functionalities

Implement attendance tracking systems, such as QR code-based check-in and check-out mechanisms

Create dashboards and generate reports in exportable formats like PDF and Excel for data analysis and monitoring

Develop search and filtering capabilities for profiles and listings to enhance user experience

Build recommendation engines or personalization features based on similarity, preferences, or past user activity

Integrate AI/ML services or APIs (e.g., OpenAI) to enhance application intelligence and automation

Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using services such as AWS EC2, Lambda, and RDS

Utilize CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CDK), and monitoring practices to ensure reliable and scalable deployments

Apply AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve development efficiency and code quality

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Prior experience building citizen-facing government systems
