At Thousands of Years Media Sdn. Bhd. (ToYm), we are looking for a proven Full Stack Developer who can take ownership of building, improving and maintaining our web, mobile and backend systems.

You will work across applications including BiteShorts and other current or upcoming ToYm digital products.

This is not a role where you only work on one layer of a system.

We need someone who understands how the complete product works—from frontend experience and backend logic to APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, deployment and production support.

Your responsibility is to help ToYm build reliable technology that we can increasingly manage in-house.

What You Will Own

1. Build End-to-End Applications

• Develop and maintain frontend, backend and database components.
• Build responsive and reliable web applications.
• Support mobile application development and mobile-related backend systems.
• Translate business and product requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Deliver production-ready features, not only prototypes.

2. Build Backend Systems & APIs

• Design and develop scalable backend services.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and other required integrations.
• Integrate internal systems with third-party platforms and services.
• Manage authentication, permissions, business logic and data flows.
• Ensure systems are reliable, secure and maintainable.

3. Manage Databases & Data Architecture

• Design and maintain appropriate database structures.
• Optimise queries and application performance.
• Protect data integrity and reliability.
• Support reporting, analytics and product-data requirements.
• Identify and resolve database or performance bottlenecks.

4. Own Deployment & Production Reliability

• Deploy applications to development, staging and production environments.
• Work with cloud infrastructure, hosting and related services.
• Support CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Monitor application performance and production issues.
• Diagnose problems quickly and implement permanent solutions rather than temporary fixes.

5. Support Mobile Applications

• Work with mobile developers or directly support mobile application development where capable.
• Develop APIs and services required by iOS and Android applications.
• Support app releases, updates and production issues.
• Understand the requirements involved in publishing and maintaining applications through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

6. Build Integrations

Develop and maintain integrations involving areas such as:

• Payment Gateways
• Authentication
• Notifications
• Analytics
• Advertising Platforms
• Content Systems
• E-Commerce
• CRM
• Third-Party APIs
• AI Services
• Other Business Systems

Ensure integrations remain reliable as products scale.

7. Improve Technology Quality

• Review existing systems and identify technical weaknesses.
• Improve code quality, architecture, security and performance.
• Reduce unnecessary technical debt.
• Write maintainable and reusable code.
• Implement appropriate testing and quality-control processes.
• Document important technical systems and architecture.

8. Take Ownership From Requirement to Launch

Work closely with Product, UI/UX, Growth, Operations and Management teams.

You should be able to:

Understand the Requirement → Design the Solution → Build → Test → Deploy → Monitor → Improve

Take responsibility for the outcome rather than considering the job completed when the code is written.

You should be able to show applications, platforms or systems where you personally contributed significantly to development.

We do not require one fixed technology stack.

What matters is whether you understand software engineering fundamentals and can learn or adapt to the technologies required by the product.

A strong developer does more than follow technical instructions.

You should be able to understand what the user and business actually need, identify technical risks and recommend practical solutions.

You should also be comfortable working across multiple applications and projects as company priorities evolve.

There is no strict minimum number of years and no strict degree requirement.
