SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a retail environment. Duties include balancing the cash register, making change, recording purchases, processing returns and scanning items for sale.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process sales transactions by accepting payments.
• Ensure the price of product is correctly keyed in based on article.
• Calculate and return change when required by the payment method.
• Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change as and when required.
• Direct customers to the relevant department in regards to questions about products or services.
• Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts.
• Report issues on faulty devices or relevant equipment.
• Complete report on a daily basis.
• Sell vouchers / gift cards as and when required.
• Issue out promotional vouchers as and when required and ensure that the balance tallies.
• To perform any other reasonable duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
