Job Summary:

We're looking for a Junior Sous Chef to support the Kitchen team in the daily kitchen operations of the hotel. The role will assist in supervising the kitchen team, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise and support the kitchen team during service.
• Ensure food is prepared according to the hotel’s standards and recipes.
• Maintain food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Ensure proper food hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards are followed.
• Assist with food preparation and kitchen organisation.
• Monitor food stock and minimise wastage.
• Support training and coaching of kitchen team members.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth service.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a hotel.
• Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef is preferred.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and kitchen operations.
• Able to supervise and work well with a kitchen team.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks during busy periods.
• Good understanding of food safety and HACCP standards.
• Passionate about food and maintaining consistent food quality.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month

• STM/STPM (Preferred)

Experience:

• as a Junior Sous Chef in the hotel industry: 3 years (Required)
