SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR INVESTIGATION & ENFORCEMENT DIVISION

Candidates applying for the position must possess the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree in economics, Law, or other related fields recognized by the Government from a local higher education institution, or a recognized equivalent qualification; OR
2. A recognized bachelor’s degree with Honours from a local higher education institution, or a recognized equivalent qualification.

Additional Requirements:

1. Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the field of investigation and enforcement, or other related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of competition policy and laws, whether domestically in Malaysia or internationally;
2. Candidates must possess knowledge of Government policies, including experience interfacing with Government departments and agencies;
3. Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing and communication capabilities in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in a third language is considered an added advantage;
4. Candidates must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and
5. Candidates must be proficient in leading teams and capable of cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels.

Core Responsibilities:

Bid Rigging Section

1. Execute the activities of the Assessment Unit within the Bid Rigging Section;
2. Coordinate the preparation of Final Decisions for Bid Rigging Cases;
3. Supervise the handling of complaints and inquiries received by the Commission, which includes meeting complainants and recording incoming complaints for Bid Rigging cases;
4. Conduct research on any complaints, MyCC initiatives, and Ministerial directives regarding infringement activities under the Competition Act 2010;
5. Plan the preparation of complaint assessment reports for every received complaint involving Bid Rigging;
6. Supervise the secretariat in managing Complaint Assessment Review Team (CART) meetings;
7. Plan the preparation of closing letters issued to complainants for Bid Rigging cases. Coordinate statistics involving enforcement activities for Bid Rigging Cases; and
8. Perform any additional tasks as assigned by HOD/CEO as needed.
