Role Description This is a part-time, hybrid Takaful Sales Representative role based in Petaling Jaya, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Takaful Sales Representative will identify and approach potential customers, present family takaful solutions, and provide clear information on product features, benefits, and terms. The role involves building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, conducting needs-based consultations, and supporting clients through the application, onboarding, and policy servicing processes. The representative will follow up on leads, participate in sales events or community outreach, and collaborate with the team to meet individual and branch sales targets. Daily activities also include maintaining accurate records, complying with regulatory and company standards, and continuously updating product and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills, with the ability to conduct needs-based discussions and close sales ethically.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain takaful concepts clearly to diverse customer groups.
• Basic financial literacy and understanding of protection and savings products; experience in insurance or takaful is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage time effectively, and meet agreed sales targets.
• Comfort with using digital tools and CRM systems for lead management, reporting, and remote customer engagement.
• Minimum qualification of SPM or equivalent; a diploma or degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
• Willingness to attend training and development programmes, including sales and product training provided by PruBSN.
