Job Title: IT Infrastructure & Network Manager / Assistant Manager
Onsite in Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Network Manager / Assistant Manager to manage and support IT infrastructure across multiple locations. This is a hands-on technical role involving network, servers, virtualization, cloud, storage, backup, security, and disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and provide hands-on support for IT infrastructure including network, servers, virtualization, storage, cloud, data centre, backup and disaster recovery.
Manage LAN/WAN, Internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, firewalls and VPN.
Administer and support VMware, Hyper-V and HCI environments.
Manage and support Microsoft Azure / AWS cloud infrastructure.
Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology improvements.
Manage backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
Work with cybersecurity teams on patching, hardening, network segmentation and vulnerability remediation.
Participate in infrastructure implementation, testing, migration and maintenance activities.
Manage infrastructure vendors, service providers, contracts and SLAs.
Provide technical guidance to IT/campus teams and maintain infrastructure standards.
Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, configurations and asset records.
Support IT projects, procurement and implementation of new infrastructure technologies.
Support IT governance, risk, audit and compliance requirements.
Requirements
5–8 years of solid hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, systems administration or related IT operations.
Relevant supervisory/management experience for Manager-level positions.
Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise networking, servers, virtualization, storage, cloud and infrastructure security.
Willingness to travel between campuses nationwide and support critical infrastructure incidents when required.
Experience managing IT infrastructure across multiple locations/campuses is highly desirable.
Practical experience with VMware, Hyper-V, HCI, Azure, AWS, network security, backup and disaster recovery is an advantage.
Experience in a University, higher education or large multi-site organisation is an advantage.
Relevant IT certifications are an advantage.
