About the Role

The Australian International School Malaysia (AISM) is seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our Secondary School team.

AISM is looking for a passionate educator with strong experience teaching New South Wales (NSW) Curriculum in Mathematics, ideally across Stage 4 to Stage 6, including preparation for the Higher School Certificate (HSC).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, student-centred Mathematics lessons that meet a range of learning needs.
• Teach Mathematics syllabus across the appropriate secondary stages.
• Use technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school expectations.
• Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Contribute to curriculum development and professional learning.
• Support the school’s co-curricular programme, camps and activities.
• Contribute positively to the wider life and community of AISM.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Current NESA registration or full eligibility for registration.
• Relevant teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or a degree in
• Mathematics/Science with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Secondary School Mathematics.
• Strong knowledge and experience delivering the NSW Mathematics Curriculum.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Desirable

• Experience teaching Stage 6 Mathematics and preparing students for HSC examinations.
• Knowledge of Visible Learning approaches.
• Experience working in an international or multicultural school environment.
