Role Description This is a full-time role for a Reservoir Geologist at Iraya Energies. The Reservoir Geologist will quality control AI-based geological and geophysical reservoir interpretations, build AI-based FDP workflows that support reservoir management decisions.

Responsibilities include generating LLM tests, validating AI prompts and responses, generating and validating maps, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize field development plans based on AI-assisted workflows.

The role also involves preparing technical reports and presentations to clients, contributing to FDP workflows that leverage AI and machine learning tools, and ensuring that geological interpretations are accurate and align with project and business objectives.

The Reservoir Geologist will work closely with software developers and other geoscience professionals to deliver accurate, actionable reservoir insights.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Sedimentology and Reservoir Geology, with the ability to interpret depositional environments and reservoir architectures.
• Proficiency in Geological Mapping and Structural Geology for building and validating subsurface models.
• Experience in Reservoir Management, including integration of geological models into production optimization and field development planning.
• Degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related quantitative discipline; Master’s degree is beneficial.
• Familiarity with subsurface modeling and interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Decision Space or similar tools).
• Interest or experience in applying AI, machine learning, or data-driven techniques to subsurface problems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to data quality and uncertainty assessment.
• Familiarity with Python or any computational programming language is a must.
• Minimum 7 years oil and gas industry experience
