About Simple Food Solutions

Simple Food Solutions (SFS) is a Singapore-based, halal-certified central kitchen and OEM food manufacturer. We help F&B; and hospitality brands manufacture, develop and deliver menu items, from permanent products to limited-time offers, so our customers can focus on growing and operating their businesses.

Role Overview

We are looking for an organised, commercially minded Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of SFS customers. This is

not a traditional cold-calling or lead-generation role

. New opportunities are primarily generated through management, referrals and SFS's network. Your responsibility is to take qualified opportunities forward, onboard new customers, manage product development projects through to commercial launch, maintain strong relationships with existing customers, and actively grow the accounts under your care.

The ideal candidate combines

strong project management, ownership and commercial instinct

. You should be able to keep multiple projects moving, coordinate across departments, understand customer needs and identify opportunities to expand each relationship.

Key Responsibilities

Own a portfolio of SFS customers as the primary commercial and day-to-day point of contact.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers, ensuring strong service, retention and responsiveness.

Actively grow existing accounts through new SKUs, limited-time offers, menu developments and additional product categories.

Take over qualified new opportunities from management and drive them from initial discussion through R&D, costing, sampling, commercialisation and launch.

Coordinate projects across R&D, purchasing, planning, production, quality, logistics and finance.

Maintain a clear project pipeline and proactively follow up on outstanding actions, rather than waiting to be chased.

Prepare quotations and commercial proposals and follow through with customers towards conversion.

Understand each customer's business, upcoming launches, operational challenges and potential opportunities for SFS.

Act as the first point of contact for account issues, coordinate internal resolution and communicate clearly with customers.

Monitor customer and SKU performance and identify declining accounts, growth opportunities or issues requiring action.

Maintain accurate account records, project status, next actions and commercial opportunities.

Escalate major commercial negotiations and strategic opportunities to the Managing Director when appropriate.

What We're Looking For

2 to 5 years of experience in account management, client servicing, project coordination or commercial operations.

Experience in F&B;, FMCG or manufacturing is preferred.

Strong organisational and project management skills, with excellent follow-through.

Commercially minded and comfortable identifying, proposing and following through on account growth opportunities.

Able to coordinate across multiple internal teams and drive actions to completion.

A clear and confident communicator who can build strong relationships with customers.

Proactive and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership.

Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets, CRM systems, Notion or similar tracking tools.

An interest in food and the F&B; industry is strongly preferred.

What Success Looks Like

First 3 months:
Understand SFS's capabilities, products and internal processes. Take ownership of assigned accounts and active projects, and establish strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.

By 6 months:
Independently manage the portfolio. New opportunities handed over by management progress without constant intervention. Existing accounts are actively developed, with new SKU and LTO opportunities entering the pipeline.

By 12 months:
Own the portfolio commercially and operationally, demonstrating measurable portfolio growth, successful new-customer onboarding, strong retention and consistent conversion of new SKU opportunities.

Compensation

Basic Salary:
Competitive fixed monthly salary, commensurate with experience.

Business Transport:
Legitimate business transport expenses reimbursed on a claimable basis according to company policy.

Commission:
Performance-based commission for portfolio revenue above the assigned threshold.

Who Will Do Well in This Role

You may enjoy this role if you like building long-term customer relationships, managing multiple projects at once and turning ideas into commercial launches. You do not need to be a traditional hunter, but you should enjoy growing accounts and taking responsibility for getting opportunities across the line.
