Job application doesn't end right after the interview session. There are more steps to be done and one of it is sending Thank you note. If you have been interviewed with a very conservative organisation, you should probably consider sending a formal thank you note in an envelope rather than sending via email. It is a formal courtesy to send a thank you note to the interviewer."Thank You" note is a simple and short note. Just write the message short and keep the important keyword which is thank you for your time! 

1.  Use the important keywords

In writing Thank You message, you have to double check, proofread the message before you send it to avoid any unnecessary mistake. You want to be a professional and this message is sent to high-level person in the organization. Let say you had fun during the interview because you both and the interviewer share common interest such as football or passion, perhaps you want to mention that in the note to keep the interview remember you. 

2.  This is professional business people

Even it doesn't count in the interview evaluation but you still have to keep the professional manner. You should be careful in the language used and also attitude in writing. Don't slip into formality, even it is just a thank you note. Never use emoticon even your heart wants to use it badly. Never use texting language as in short form, LOL, and etc.

3. Keep in touch with the receiver

Cross your fingers and hope that the receiver will reply your email. If you get a response, don't get panic and screaming. Calm down and try to read the email carefully. Perhaps there are some important messages that you don't want to miss. Try to reply the email but don't bug them daily or even weekly. Relax and give them some time and space.
