Tired of sending out resumes without getting any replies? Well, there must be something wrong somewhere. Could it be your resume? Or did you apply for the job wrongly? Alright, let's learn how to make a resume that not just gets you through the door, but also generates job interviews for you. Follow these tips accordingly if you have not received a single interview call:

1. Target employers and learn their weaknesses

Do you send your resumes randomly? You should stop doing that; it's a waste of time and energy. You should make a list of prospective employers and study their weaknesses. You should understand their problems and their needs. With that, you will be able to match your skills, talents, expertise and experience to their problems and offer them solution suggestions during your interview.

2.  Focus on the position you want the most

It's not going to help if you apply to all the job vacancies that offered by a company. Get a fixed position that you really want and apply only for that. Just be sure that the job position matches your skills and talents. Take note: mass applications to multiple vacancies will only lead to frustration.

3. Tailor your resume

So far, the best advice is about customising your resume according to the job that you're applying for. For cases where you include the company name or a position name in your resume, you shouldn't send the same resume to other companies. You can use the same resume template but remember to customise the content. Perhaps this particular company seeks someone who has a specific skill but the other company wants someone with specific work experience.

4. Cover letter

Have you tried sending a cover letter before? You should start practising it as it's really effective! Write a really effective cover letter by emphasising your skills and expertise according to what the company you're targeting is looking for. Address it specifically to the person in charge. If you don't have any information on that, you can Google or if you're still in doubt, simply address your CV to the exact department.

5. Use recruitment agencies

Tired of getting false hope? A good and reputed Recruitment Agency can be of great help to find you an interview appointment. These agencies work by demonstrating your value and credibility to their clients, essentially telling them why you fit their bill. Start networking with recruiters and get them to help you secure an interview.
