At 7:45 a.m, we received a brief job and safety briefing before starting work at 8:00 a.m. The maintenance tasks were assigned by the technical assistant to the maintenance team, and I was asked to follow the team to learn new skills. The work continued until 5:00 p.m, with short breaks and a lunch break included within the 9-hour workday. The workers were friendly and willing to teach us new skills, which I found very helpful. I gained a lot of knowledge from both hands-on experience and theoretical learning. The most challenging part of my job was working in the cramped engine room of the vessel, where it was often slippery and difficult to move around. However, I enjoyed working alongside experienced workers and technicians to solve technical problems and complete tasks.

At Ajang Shipping, the work schedule consists of 2 months on board and 1 month off. All employees work 12-hour shifts, with the morning shift starting at 7am and the night shift starting at 7pm. During my time at Ajang Shipping, I gained experience in menu planning and kitchen management, including maintaining cleanliness and organizing stock such as dry goods, vegetables in the chiller, and meat, seafood, and poultry in the freezer.
