Job Summary:

The Environmental Executive is responsible for carrying out environmental monitoring activities such as stack emissions, ambient air, boundary noise, and water sampling. This role involves both fieldwork and office-based tasks, including data compilation and report preparation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures.

Job Scope:

1. Environmental Monitoring & Sampling Operations

Perform environmental field sampling and monitoring including:
Stack Emission Monitoring
Ambient Air Monitoring
Boundary/Environmental Noise Monitoring
Water Sampling (industrial effluent, surface water, river water, etc.)
Prepare all required sampling equipment, consumables, and documentation before each field job.
Conduct site-specific risk assessments and ensure compliance with legal, client and internal safety protocols.
Ensure proper labelling, preservation, and transportation of samples in accordance with SOPs.

2. Project Execution & Job Planning

Understand project scope and client requirements from job orders or delivery order.
Coordinate with the Field Engineer, Senior Section Head and/or Assistant Manager to plan daily job routes and equipment needs.
Perform preliminary site checks, when required, and confirm job readiness (PPE, permit access, equipment calibration).
Adhere to monitoring timelines and communicate job status or field issues promptly to supervisors.

3. Data Compilation & Analysis

Record and verify field data accurately using standard log sheets or digital forms.
Review sampling parameters, ambient conditions, and instrumentation performance during jobs.
Analyze collected data to ensure accuracy and completeness before reporting.
Identify anomalies or potential non-compliance findings and flag them for review.

4. Reporting

Prepare detailed technical reports using standard templates based on field data.
Ensure reports are submitted within the required timeframe.
Coordinate with the Admin team to finalize reports for client delivery.
Assist in reviewing or correcting reports after internal or client feedback.

5. Compliance, Equipment Handling & Maintenance

Follow all SOPs and DOE/ISO/17025 standards during monitoring and reporting.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration checks, and functional tests of monitoring equipment.
Report any equipment faults, damage, or recalibration needs to the technical team promptly.

6. Support Duties (as needed)

Occasionally assist in preparing quotations, job briefs, or client documentation.
Support external audits, internal training, or interdepartmental tasks when assigned.
Represent the company in a professional manner during site visits, client interactions, or third-party engagements.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Willing to travel and work in field-based environments regularly.
Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Possession of a valid driving license and own transport is an advantage.
Maintain proper field records, related forms, and calibration logs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
