The University's origins can be traced back to 1870. It officially became De Montfort University in 1992, and along with a GDP 136 million campus redevelopment, established itself as a leading modern university.
There are around 400 foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses on offer from four faculties: the faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities, the faculty of Business and Law, the faculty of Health and Life Sciences and the faculty of Technology.
All courses are designed to prepare students for success in the professional world, equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to help them stand out in the graduate job market. Many courses are professionally accredited or endorsed, have strong industry links, and integrate invaluable work experience placements.
The university's partnerships include links with the British Library and Leicester City Football Club, which produce numerous beneficial opportunities for students.
