Working at a highly rated 4-star hotel in the bustling city of Malacca has been a rewarding experience. With 704 rooms, the hotel is always fully booked on weekends and public holidays. Starting as a receptionist, I faced numerous challenges as a frontliner, such as explaining to guests when their requests couldn't be accommodated. After two years, I transitioned to the Sales department as a sales coordinator, where I learned how to meet hotel budget goals. Four months later, I moved to the housekeeping department as a supervisor, facing new challenges in managing staff and room assignments.

Despite the high demand for guest rooms, the hotel has successfully managed to prepare rooms efficiently during peak periods to meet guest expectations without any issues. They prioritize working within budget constraints while maintaining high standards and avoiding subpar service. Collaboration with other departments such as Front Office, Engineering, and F&B has helped to impress guests and minimize dissatisfaction. Despite heavy check-ins and check-outs during peak seasons, the hotel has effectively overcome challenges by working together as a team. As a result, the hotel has received positive feedback from guests, generated good profits, and earned recognition from top management and the owner for the efforts of the entire team.
