Job Description

a) Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports accurately and on a timely basis.
• Review financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with

applicable accounting standards.

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain proper accounting records, supporting schedules, and documentation.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.

b) Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Conduct variance analysis against budgets and performance targets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend operational improvements.
• Support management in evaluating business performance and profitability.
• Assist in feasibility studies, investment appraisals, and financial modelling for new projects and expansion plans.

c) Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor daily cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational requirements.
• Manage banking facilities, financing arrangements, and loan repayment obligations.
• Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Support negotiations relating to credit facilities and financing arrangements.
• Oversee bank account administration, including account openings, closures, and signatory updates.
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
• Implement treasury controls to safeguard company funds and assets.

d) Taxation, Audit & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax schedules, statutory reports, and

regulatory filings.

• Maintain compliance with Malaysian taxation laws, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Assist in tax planning initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate annual audits and provide supporting schedules, analyses, and documentation.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, LHDN, SSM, EPF, SOCSO, and other relevant authorities.

e) Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Establish and maintain effective internal control systems and financial procedures.
• Review and improve accounting policies, workflows, and operational processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and governance requirements.
• Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Participate in process improvement and system automation initiatives
