The Role:
Perform assigned duties diligently at the work-station by observing the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety and Work Safety Standards.
Weigh, clean and cut all types and sizes of meat for customers accurately according to standards and requirements.
Attend to customer’s queries and needs promptly in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner to achieve customer satisfaction.
Apply product knowledge by assisting customers in their meat and poultry purchase by advising them what is ideal for the type of food to be prepared.
Replenish upright chiller and showcase according to display requirements set to maintain a good and “full” display at all times. FIFO practice to be observed at all times.
Upkeep freshness and ensure high quality standards when handling goods at the meat cutting station, displaying goods at the chiller/showcase and arranging goods in the coldroom.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, cleanliness, personal grooming and hygiene at all times to reflect a good company image.
