ROLE OVERVIEW 

VionData Partners is sourcing experienced Data Modelers for a banking client. The ideal candidate has strong conceptual, logical and physical data modelling skills, a good understanding of enterprise data platforms and common data formats, and banking domain experience in Cash / Transaction Banking and/or Lending. Python or broader technology / automation capability is an advantage. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Understand data architecture and how data is structured across enterprise platforms. 

  • Design conceptual, logical and physical data models. 

  • Analyse data requirements and translate business needs into data models and designs. 

  • Work with enterprise data platforms and their underlying data structures, including XML and other structured / semi-structured data formats. 

  • Query and analyse data using SQL; use Python for analysis, automation or to accelerate data-related activities where applicable. 

  • Engage business and technology stakeholders, particularly those based in Singapore. 

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • Data Architecture (Critical): Strong understanding of data architecture and how data is structured across platforms
  • Data Modelling (Critical): Conceptual, logical and physical data modelling
  • Data Platforms (High): Understanding of enterprise data platforms and underlying data structures
  • Data Formats (High): Understanding of formats such as XML and other structured / semi-structured data formats
  • Banking Domain (High): Knowledge of Cash / Transaction Banking and ideally Lending
  • Business Analysis (High): Ability to analyse data requirements and translate business needs into data models / designs
  • Stakeholder Management (High): Comfortable working with business and technology stakeholders, particularly in Singapore
  • SQL (Preferred / Value-add): Ability to query, analyse and work with data
  • Python (Preferred / Value-add): Ability to use Python for analysis, automation or accelerating data-related activities

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Experienced Data Modeler with strong conceptual, logical and physical data modelling skills, a good understanding of enterprise data platforms and common data formats, combined with banking domain experience in Cash / Transaction Banking and/or Lending. Python or broader technology / automation capability would be an advantage. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS 

  • No sponsorship is available for this role. 

  • Preferred approach: identify, interview and hard-block suitable resources in advance, so they can mobilise quickly once demand is formalised.
