About the Company

Our client is a regional corporate bank with strong footprint here in Singapore. They are currently seeking an experienced banking & finance legal counsel to join the team and provide legal support on transactional, regulatory and wider legal matters.

Responsibilities

As a AVP/VP Legal Counsel of the team, you will assist in reviewing and negotiating a broad range of financing transactions including but not limited to bilateral, syndicated loans, trade finance, project finance and others.

On top of the transactional work, you will also support vendor agreements, outsourcing agreements as well as employment related issues. You will also advise on cross-border regulatory matters, new products and business initiatives. On an adhoc basis, you will assist in managing external counsel, monitor legal and regulatory developments.

Requirements

You should be a Singapore qualified lawyer with at least 7 years PQE with relevant experience gained either in-house with a bank or in private practice advising on corporate banking and financing matters. You should have the ability to independently manage complex matters and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across functions.
