Supply Chain Executive

Department: Supply ChainReports To: Supply Chain Manager

Job PurposeSupport the sourcing, purchasing and availability of containers, materials and services required by the business while maintaining reliable supplier and inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase new and used containers according to business requirements.
• Source materials, equipment and services required for production and projects.
• Request and compare supplier quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, lead time and commercial terms within authorised limits.
• Issue and follow up purchase orders.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding specifications, quantities and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate closely with Production and Projects on material requirements.
• Monitor material availability against upcoming jobs.
• Follow up outstanding deliveries and escalate potential shortages.
• Coordinate incoming containers/materials with warehouse and Operations.
• Maintain supplier, purchasing and pricing records.
• Assist with inventory and stock reconciliation.
• Source alternative suppliers and products to improve cost, quality or availability.
• Support container buyback/purchasing activities.
• Assist in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.
• Ensure procurement documentation is properly maintained in the company's ERP/system.

Key KPIs: Material availability, purchasing lead time, cost savings, supplier performance, PO accuracy and stock discrepancies.
