Pre-Sales Engineer

Salary: RM7,000 – RM9,000 per month
Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

Role Overview

We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-oriented Pre-Sales Engineer to support the sales team in delivering IT and networking solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking technologies, network security, and the ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to customers.

This role involves providing technical support throughout the sales process, conducting product demonstrations, managing Proof of Concept (POC) activities, and developing solutions that align with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sales team in qualifying leads and identifying customers' technical requirements.
• Conduct product presentations and deliver effective technical sales pitches to prospective customers.
• Manage Proof of Concept (POC) activities and product demonstrations.
• Provide technology updates and introduce relevant solutions to customers.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for RFQs, RFPs, and tender submissions.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for customers, addressing enquiries related to product features, specifications, functionality, and system integration.
• Collaborate with principals, internal sales teams, and product teams to develop technical solutions that meet customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in IT, networking, network security, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), network security, and encryption technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and present solutions effectively to customers.
• Possess own transportation and willing to travel within Klang Valley.

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly salary of RM7,000 – RM9,000, depending on experience.
