Job Description

Support the Partner and Manager teams in servicing clients in relation to their tax needs in income tax. Our income tax services include:

·       Assist clients with the preparation, review and e-filing of the income tax returns (and organizing the necessary information request flows, documentation and research needs)

·       Assist in fulfilment of clients’ income tax advisory needs in relation to their business transactions (e.g., new business arrangements, crossborder transactions)

·       Assist in fulfilment of clients’ income tax advisory needs on tax structuring matters and conducting income tax due diligence reviews (typically in M&A situations)

·       Assist clients in managing IRAS queries/audits

·       Assist clients in seeking income tax rulings/clarifications from IRAS

·       Develop strong relationships with our clients and with our colleagues, both internally and across the Baker Tilly International Network

·       Work with colleagues internally and across the globe in relation to proposals and delivering on tax projects.

·       Provide support in relation to marketing activities such as seminars, webcasts and business development collaterals

Requirements:

·       Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or other business-related fields

·       Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment

·       Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

·       Strong written and verbal communication

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to details

·       Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic

·       Relevant internship experience in audit, tax or advisory will be considered an advantage.
