Job Summary

The successful candidate will coordinate and oversee daily logistics and transportation operations, ensuring efficient route planning, timely cargo delivery, and effective team supervision to optimize operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily transportation and logistics activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Develop and implement efficient transportation routes and vehicle deployment schedules to optimize delivery times and resource utilization
• Manage cargo collection, transportation, and distribution to meet customer and operational requirements
• Facilitate communication and collaboration with customers, suppliers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to ensure seamless logistics processes
• Monitor transportation schedules and ensure timely fulfilment of operational requirements to maintain service reliability
• Oversee vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, and transportation records to ensure fleet readiness and regulatory compliance
• Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses
• Resolve transportation-related issues and operational disruptions promptly to minimize impact on service delivery
• Prepare detailed logistics reports and provide actionable recommendations to improve business operations and performance
• Supervise and coordinate drivers and transportation personnel to maintain productivity and adherence to company standards
• Undertake driving assignments when operationally necessary to support transportation needs

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, or a related field
• Relevant working experience in transportation operations
• Strong knowledge of transportation planning and logistics coordination

• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills demonstrated in logistics contexts
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
