Piano Accompanist — Melody Strings
Melody Strings is seeking a skilled and reliable piano accompanist to work with students and faculty in preparation for examinations, competitions, and concert performances.
Key Responsibilities
Provide piano accompaniment for rehearsals and performances.
Work closely with instrumental teachers to support students’ musical preparation.
Prepare assigned repertoire in advance and attend scheduled sessions punctually.
Requirements
Strong pianistic proficiency, and sight-reading skills.
The ability to follow and respond sensitively to the students, adapting to changes in tempo, phrasing, and interpretation.
The musical awareness and flexibility to maintain continuity when students hesitate or make errors.
A keen understanding of balance, ensuring the accompaniment supports the solo part.
A patient, professional approach to working with young musicians of varying abilities.
Previous experience accompanying string players, particularly for graded examinations and competitions, is preferred.
