Teacher Aide — River Valley Primary School

Contract: 1 January to 31 December 2027. Option period: 1 January to 31 December 2028.

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, including a one-hour lunch break. No service on Saturdays, Sundays or gazetted public holidays. Total working time is 40 hours per week after lunch.

Requirements

• Preferred: at least three GCE O-Level passes.
• Preferred: good teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: at least one year of school general administration experience.
• Preferred: proficiency in IT applications, including Microsoft Office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute Science resources, set up experiments and student kits, and support inquiry-based learning, enrichment programmes and school events.
• Clean and store materials after lessons. Keep the Science Resource Room, preparation room and stores organised, clean and safe.
• Check equipment and consumable stocks, assist with procurement, report faults and coordinate repairs or replacement.
• Support teachers with lesson materials, attendance records, resource loans, lost-and-found items and worksheet preparation.
• Provide photocopying, binding, laminating, shredding, document verification, data entry, filing and record maintenance.
• Support Science programme logistics and General Office counter enquiries and sick-bay duties. Carry out related duties assigned by the Head of Science, School Leaders or authorised staff.
