This Senior Developer position will primarily be involved in a major rearchitecting and redeveloping project of over 10 web applications. This transition from older technologies to newer Java-based applications is critical, and your role will be pivotal in this endeavour. After the production goes live, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining enhancements to the new applications, as well as undertaking new systems development.

Being part of our Software Development team, focus on developmental work and on-going internal and external technical support. This position requires critical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on bringing new ideas to life through application development. This role will involve substantial brainstorming, teamwork, and knowledge sharing.

Job Details:

• Work closely with system analyst to develop modules of the initial enterprise system plan according to the requirement and functional specification.
• Upgrade and maintain technical specifications, perform code commit/merging in GitLab/SVN.
• Prepare unit and integration tests for Sonar and Jenkins scheduled automation procedures.
• Conduct peer reviews and share knowledge on coding practices and latest technology stacks.
• Maintain systems once they are up and running.
• Build, test, and support various applications as per the business support department's requests.
• Execute all system feature deployments and monitor successful integration, maintaining the system throughout its lifecycle.
• Use Jira as the tracker tool for development and other support linked to GitLab.
• Experience with Spring Boot and other microservices technology is crucial.
• Understand and familiar with Java Reactive Framework.
• Able to provide technical analysis documents when required.
• Proper application monitoring post deployment
• Able to troubleshoot issues quickly and propose a solution
• Able to do implementations matching back the specifications
• Able to identify any weaknesses with the implementation and suggests and improvements.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of production application design and development experience in Java Technologies
• Experienced in the Financial Industry is a plus point
• Experienced in Java, Maven, JPA, Spring Boot, Java Reactive, SOAP, RESTFUL, MySQL.
• Experienced in continuous delivery and automation testing using GitLab and Jenkin
• Experienced in code coverage using Sonar.
• Experienced in secure coding (OWASP Top 10) best practices.
• Experienced in application deployment to cloud technology like AWS
• Functional knowledge in credit rating/ credit reporting a plus point

Employment Details:

• Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and skillset

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
