Security Systems Technician (CCTV & Access Control)

We are looking for a hands-on Security Systems Technician to support the daily operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV and access control systems at our client's site.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Access Control System Maintenance

• Perform daily checks and routine maintenance of access control systems.
• Inspect door readers, electronic locks, sensors, controllers, and associated cabling.
• Identify and troubleshoot door alarms, faulty devices, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with testing, repairs, and replacement of access control components.
• Support the operation and maintenance of CCURE access control systems.

2. CCTV System Maintenance

• Monitor CCTV camera connectivity, live viewing, and recording functionality.
• Inspect cameras, cables, brackets, and connections for damage or faults.
• Troubleshoot camera disconnections, poor image quality, and recording issues.
• Carry out camera cleaning, adjustments, and routine preventive maintenance.
• Support the operation and maintenance of Genetec CCTV systems.

3. Technical Troubleshooting & Support

• Attend to on-site technical faults and perform initial troubleshooting.
• Diagnose issues related to electrical power, cabling, connections, and system devices.
• Carry out authorised repairs and component replacements under engineering guidance.
• Escalate complex technical issues and maintain accurate service reports.
• Work closely with engineers and the Facilities Team to minimise system downtime.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow site safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
• Ensure maintenance and testing activities comply with site requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation of completed work and outstanding issues.

What We're Looking For

• Relevant technical experience in CCTV, access control, security systems, electrical, electronics, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience in cabling, wiring, installation, troubleshooting, or maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV cameras, access readers, electronic locks, power supplies, and network connections.
• Experience with CCURE Access Control or Genetec CCTV will be an added advantage.
• Able to perform on-site inspections, identify faults, and carry out maintenance work.
• Good troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a safety-conscious mindset.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with engineers and other technical teams.
