Role Description The Planning Engineer will support project teams by developing, updating, and monitoring project schedules and progress reports. This part-time hybrid role is based in Kuching, with a combination of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed work programs, tracking milestones, analyzing schedule variances, and coordinating with project managers and site teams to ensure alignment between plans and execution. The role also involves maintaining project control documentation, identifying potential delays or bottlenecks, and providing clear communication of planning data to stakeholders. The Planning Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools used across projects.
Qualifications

• Strong planning and production planning skills, with the ability to develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Solid analytical skills and project control capabilities to monitor progress, assess risks, and support data-driven decisions.
• Effective communication skills to present planning information clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or related project environments is beneficial.
• Proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, project management, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage part-time hours effectively, and adapt to a hybrid work arrangement in Kuching.
