Job Summary:

The Operations Executive & OSH Coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality in all operational processes within the vertical farming facility. Additionally, this role involves implementing and overseeing occupational safety and health (OSH) policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a safe working environment. The position focuses on developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting internal audits, ensuring workplace safety, and monitoring productivity and performance. The Operations Executive acts as a facilitator of continuous improvement rather than just an enforcer of rules and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1) SOP Development, Management, and Training:

Develop and document comprehensive SOPs for operational areas such as planting,

growing, harvesting, packaging, facility maintenance, and workplace safety.

• Regularly review and update SOPs to reflect best practices, safety regulations, and technological advancements.
• Conduct training sessions to ensure staff understand and adhere to safety and operational SOPs.
• Create and maintain training materials, including visual aids and practical demonstrations, to enhance staff comprehension.
• Document all training activities and maintain accurate records of staff attendance and understanding.

2) Internal Auditing and Remediation:

• Plan and conduct internal audits to assess compliance with OSH policies, food safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Identify and document audit findings, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with farm staff to ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols and environmental health standards.
• Facilitate training and provide ongoing support to farm staff to ensure proper understanding and implementation pf corrective actions
• Track and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.

3) Work Safety & OSH Compliance:

• Ensure strict adherence to Malaysia OSH regulations and industry-specific safety guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify, including PPE compliance, emergency preparedness, and incident reporting.
• Promote a culture of safety by organizing OSH awareness programs, training, and safety drills.
• Liaise with government agencies such as the Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) Malaysia to maintain necessary certifications and permits.

4) Quality Control & Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor and evaluate the quality of crops throughout the growing and harvesting process while ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Track OSH key performance indicators (KPIs), including workplace injury rates, safety training completion, and compliance levels.
• Analyze data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements for both production efficiency and workplace safety.

5) Operational & Safety Support:

• Assist in developing and implementing operational improvements while ensuring workplace safety enhancements.
• Provide support to the operations and safety teams as needed.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing data related to operational and safety KPIs.

6) Additional Responsibilities:

• Undertake any assigned roles related to business growth, operational efficiency, and workplace safety.
• Work closely with management to align OSH and operational strategies with the company’s objectives.
• Take on other task or responsibilities a assigned by your superior.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and compliance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
