Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Construction & Engineering Industry
• Position Title: Workplace Safety & Health Officer (Construction)
• Working Location: Tengah (Company transportation provided)
• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri, 8:30 AM – 17:30 PM)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary + VB + Medical Benefits
• Duration: 1-year renewable contract

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in leading the safety team and subcontractors in implementing site safety systems.
• Monitor workplace safety, health, housekeeping, and safe work practices across projects.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain project safety documentation.
• Perform Workplace Safety and Health Officer duties in accordance with applicable WSH requirements.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and site teams on safety, health, and environmental matters.
• Enforce company safety procedures, rules, and MOM requirements.
• Prepare and implement risk assessments, safe work procedures, and safety measures.
• Investigate safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and follow up on safety issues.
• Support return-to-work arrangements for employees following workplace injuries.
• Organise WSH Committee meetings and prepare HSE and statutory reports.
• Liaise with MOM, NEA, PUB, and other relevant authorities on WSHE matters.
• Conduct HSE training, safety campaigns, and awareness programmes.
• Lead and coordinate site safety personnel.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Relevant Workplace Safety and Health qualification or certification.
• Relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting site safety, risk assessment, incident investigation, and HSE documentation.
• Familiar with MOM requirements and workplace safety regulations.
• Able to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Good communication, documentation, and team leadership skills.
• At least 5 years of experience in LTA projects is an advantage.
