Job Summary
Lead business growth by identifying and securing new clients through targeted outreach and industry research. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop profitable logistics solutions, manage client accounts, and analyze market trends to drive revenue and retention.
Responsibilities
Identify and secure new clients through cold calling, networking, and industry research to drive sales growth
Prepare and present commercial proposals, Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and pricing models to win business
Collaborate with operations, pricing, and finance teams to design realistic, profitable client logistics solutions
Maintain and strengthen long-term client relationships through regular service reviews to ensure retention
Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and trade lane developments to identify new growth opportunities
Track sales performance metrics, update sales pipelines, and report revenue forecasts to senior management
Required competencies and certifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, commerce, or arts
3 to 8+ years of B2B sales or business development experience in freight forwarding, 3PL, or contract logistics
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools to support sales and client management activities
Understanding of air, sea, and land freight, warehousing operations, and trade lanes
Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and data analysis skills applied to sales and client engagement
Commercial acumen including knowledge of profit and loss (P&L) targets, pricing margins, and contract terms
