About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior / Principal Communications Systems Engineer to join a team responsible for delivering, operating, and maintaining mission-critical communications systems that support essential national infrastructure operations.

This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced communications, networking, cybersecurity, and radio communication technologies in a highly operational 24/7 environment. You will be involved in system enhancements, project implementation, technology evaluation, and stakeholder engagement with both local and international partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the operations and maintenance of 24/7 mission-critical communications systems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and system-related issues.
• Plan and implement hardware and software enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.
• Manage maintenance contracts, system enhancement initiatives, and new technology projects.
• Collaborate with operational users, vendors, contractors, and internal technical teams to ensure smooth system operations.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities.
• Evaluate emerging communications technologies and recommend suitable solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Ensure systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Engage with local and international stakeholders on communications and related technology initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Senior Engineer level.
• Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for Principal Engineer positions.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability, or operational technology environments.
