Our Client is looking for a Project Manager.
Requirements:
· Tender & Strategy
- Technical Writing: Lead the preparation of the Technical Proposal, including detailed Method Statements, Site Management Plans, and Project Schedules, which includes representing the company and attend tender interview.
- Cost Optimization: Collaborate with the Tendering/Contracts team to identify "Value Engineering" opportunities to make our bid more competitive without compromising quality.
- Site Reconnaissance: Conduct thorough site visits to identify potential risks (e.g., utility clashes, traffic constraints, neighbourhood concerns) and incorporate mitigation strategies into the bid.
- PQM Management: Ensure the proposal scores high on the Price Quality Method (PQM) framework by highlighting safety records and innovative construction techniques.
· Handle renovation and construction projects from end-to-end.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, designer, consultant, client etc. to determine the specification for the project.
- To meet potential clients/agents/business partners to create new business opportunities.
· Attend all site meetings, client briefing & site measurement.
- Preparation of tender documentation, obtain permits and licenses from respective authorities.
· Able to handle documentation work (e.g., applying for the necessary permits before start of renovation work).
- Active participation in managing work areas by setting objectives, project plans, methodologies, and timelines/project schedule to ensure successful project completion.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports for periodic updates. (eg. pre-con/progress report.)
- Able to identify areas for improvements to maximize efficiency and improve project costs.
- Able to effectively manage and supervise a team of construction workers.
- Proper coordination with all sub-contractors and in-house workers
- Ensuring all products are delivered to the agreed specifications.
· Ensure good workmanship of all products.
- Follow up on all aspects of QA/QC matters, records all work defects with proper documentation.
- Contractual Management: Manage all contractual matters, including the identification of Variation Orders (VOs), Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and negotiation with subcontractors.
- Financial Accountability: Monitor project budget, cash flow, and resource allocation to ensure the project meets or exceeds its profit margins.
· The company reserves the right to make changes or add additional responsibilities due to operational exigencies.
· And perform any other related duties assigned by the company.
Requirements:
· Educational Background: Degree in Civil Engineering or Building (must be recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) or BCA).
· Track Record: Minimum 5 years of experience in Singapore construction
· Tender Expertise: Proven experience in contributing to or leading successful tender submissions.
· Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project, and BIM (Building Information Modelling) workflows.
· Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team of Site Engineers, Supervisors, and Subcontractors under tight deadlines.
· Good communication skills and able to work as a team with colleagues, clients, and sub-contractors
