Key Responsibilities
Design & Drafting:
Create technical drawings, blueprints, and structural layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
Site Surveys & Testing:
Perform land surveys, collect field data, and test soil, rock, concrete, and asphalt samples in labs or on-site.
Project Oversight:
Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and engineering specifications.
Cost & Resource Estimation:
Assist with calculating material quantities, labor requirements, and project timelines.
Team Coordination:
Act as a bridge between field construction crews, suppliers, and lead civil engineers.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
A diploma, associate degree, or higher NITEC in civil engineering, structural engineering, or the built environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD drafting tools, data analysis, and material testing methods.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and problem-solving abilities.
